Hi
I wonder if you can help me, my name is Stephen Bonnitcha and I am researching my gg grandfather Nicholas Bonnithca born 1834, on his naturalisation papers he said that he came from Ragusa, Austria, and that he was a seaman, while he worked on the ships in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia he said that he came from Trieste, Italy and they spelt his name as Bonachit. His parents were Marcello and Catarina no last name and that his father was a seaman. When he came to Hobart he came on the ship "Sir W F Williams" which came from Liverpool, England, he wasn't mentioned as a passenager so I think he was a crewman on the ship.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you
Stephen
